What is EDI connection in finished vehicle transportation field?
Car manufacturers, in order to manage the flow of manufactured cars, are implementing data interfaces (EDI connection), and are requiring, or starting to require, carriers to connect to them and manage all orders in an automated way. With the help of interfaces, the manufacturer is informed about the cars that need to be transported, and the carrier informs the manufacturer about the status of the transportation.
